Cary, N.C. , July 14, 2025 – Biologics by McKesson, an independent specialty pharmacy specializing in oncology and rare disease areas, has been selected by Xcovery as the sole specialty pharmacy provider for ENSACOVE™ (ensartinib), a kinase inhibitor indicated for the treatment of adult patients with anaplastic lymphoma kinase (ALK)-positive locally advanced or metastatic non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) who have not previously received an ALK-inhibitor. In addition, Biologics is the exclusive Hub Services provider and Patient Assistance Program (PAP) Dispensing Pharmacy for ENSACOVE™.
ALK-positive NSCLC is a form of lung cancer that occurs when the ALK gene becomes active and fuses with another gene, causing abnormal cell growth. It’s generally found in the adenocarcinoma subtype of NSCLC. Patients with ALK-positive NSCLC tend to be younger than the average lung cancer patient and often have little to no history of smoking. While NSCLC is the most common form of lung cancer, ALK-positive accounts for approximately 4% of those cases, according to the American Lung Association. Early detection and the use of targeted therapies are crucial in improving patient outcomes.
