CARY, N.C., March 11, 2021—Biologics by McKesson, an independent specialty pharmacy specializing in oncology and rare disease areas, was selected by AVEO Oncology as a specialty pharmacy provider for FOTIVDA® (tivozanib) for the treatment of adult patients with relapsed or refractory advanced renal cell carcinoma (RCC) who have received two or more prior systemic therapies.
FOTIVDA, approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) on March 10, 2021, is an oral, once-daily vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI). This drug blocks all three VEGF receptors and is designed to optimize VEGF blockade while minimizing side effects.
