CARY, N.C., June 22, 2020—Biologics by McKesson, an independent specialty pharmacy and patient services company specializing in oncology, rare diseases and other complex therapeutic areas, is pleased to announce that Brandon Tom, PharmD, was named its new general manager. Tom’s appointment will play a critical role in supporting Biologic’s continual growth strategy, ongoing focus on patients, increased access to therapies and drive to lead the rare, complex and oncology specialty pharmacy space.
As general manager, Tom will continue to be based in Cary, North Carolina, and will oversee all aspects of the Biologics business including operations, quality, payer relations, sales and marketing, account management, IT and, most importantly, culture.

Tom came to McKesson in 2008. He advanced quickly through various leadership positions within our specialty businesses including the Onmark Group Purchasing Organization (GPO), The US Oncology Network, Specialty Distribution and Trade, and Corporate Strategy. He also played an integral role in both the acquisition and integration process of Biologics into the McKesson enterprise in 2016. Tom was later promoted to vice president of Commercial Services where his role expanded to lead all the growth functions within the business, including provider sales, sales support, clinical innovation and strategy.
