VEPPANU™ (vepdegestrant), FDA-Approved for Treatment of ER+, HER2-, ESR1-Mutated Advanced or Metastatic Breast Cancer, Available at Biologics by McKesson

Cary, N.C., July 27, 2026 – Biologics by McKesson, an independent specialty pharmacy specializing in oncology, cell and gene, and rare disease therapies, has been selected by Rigel Pharmaceuticals as the hub and a limited distribution specialty pharmacy provider for VEPPANU™ (vepdegestrant). VEPPANU is an FDA-approved PROteolysis TArgeting Chimera (PROTAC), part of a new class of oral heterobifunctional protein degraders that is indicated for the treatment of adults with estrogen receptor (ER)-positive, human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2)-negative, estrogen receptor-1 (ESR1)-mutated advanced or metastatic breast cancer, as detected by an FDA-authorized test, with disease progression following at least one line of endocrine therapy.

ER‑positive breast cancer is the most common subtype of breast cancer and is often initially treated with endocrine therapy. In advanced or metastatic disease, resistance frequently develops, including through ESR1 mutations that can limit the effectiveness of prior treatments. As a result, patients may face fewer therapeutic options over time, underscoring the need for targeted therapies designed to address resistance and support continued disease management.

“VEPPANU represents an important advancement for patients with ESR1-mutated breast cancer, and we are proud to expand our relationship with Rigel as the exclusive Hub and a specialty pharmacy provider for this therapy,” said Ela Lourido, vice president and general manager, Biologics by McKesson. “Building on our existing partnership, we are committed to delivering a connected, high-touch experience that supports providers and patients from referral through treatment, helping to streamline access and coordination of care.”

As the designated central patient services hub for VEPPANU, Biologics by McKesson’s Pharmacy Elite™ provides patient- and provider-focused services which simplify access to therapy. These services include benefits investigation, financial assistance navigation, and prior authorization support, as well as eligibility validation for patients enrolled in assistance programs.

Biologics by McKesson is committed to and recognized for its level of customer service as well as its innovative, high-touch, and multidisciplinary approach. Putting patients first in all they do, the Biologics’ pharmacy team includes pharmacists with in-depth knowledge of therapies, experienced nurses, and financial counselors who are familiar with various financial assistance programs and organizations that help patients.
